(Omaha) A Wind Advisory for portions of western Iowa remains in effect until 7:00 p.m. this evening. Pottawattamie and Shelby Counties are in the advisory area along with the west-centralĀ Iowa counties of Harrison, Crawford, Carroll, and counties in northwest Iowa.
Northwest winds of 25-to-30 miles per hour with gusts up to 45-miles per hour are expected until 7:00 p.m. Thursday.
Use extra caution when driving, and secure outdoor objects. Gusty winds could blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could blow down, resulting in power outages.
