(Atlantic) Atlantic Distance Runner Drew Engler is signing on with the Storm. Coming off of a state-qualifying senior cross-country season, Engler signed on with Simpson College on Friday to run Cross Country and Track.

Last spring, Engler decided to pursue his running career at the next level.
Engler qualified for the State Cross Country Meet this past fall with a career-best time of 16:46. However, he is most proud of the time spent working for this accomplishment.
Engler says he’s interested in an event he’s never competed in when it comes to running track at the collegiate level.
Engler’s high school cross country coach Dan Vargason and track coach Abby Becker were on hand for the signing. Vargason says Engler showed a significant amount of improvement over the years.
Head Track Coach Abby Becker says it’s been fun watching Engler’s progress.
Engler says he will have to increase his mileage weekly to adjust for the 8K run compared to the 5K in preparation for running at the college level.
Drew Engler is the son of Rob and Teresa Engler.
