(Omaha) UCONN twice closed within two in the final minute, but Creighton was able to pick up a 64-62 win over the Huskies on Wednesday. The Bluejays notch their 20th win of the season.
Two Ryan Hawkins free-throws with :06 left pushed the advantage to four points and sealed the victory. Hawkins scored 13 and grabbed 6 rebounds. Ryan Kalkbrenner led the team with 22 points and 10 boards. Arthur Kaluma scored 15. Creighton has won seven of their last eight games. They sweep the season series against UCONN. It is their fourth win against a ranked opponent.
The Bluejays close out the regular season at home on Saturday against Seton Hall.
