(Sidney) Two Nebraska men face charges following a traffic stop in Fremont County.
Deputies with the Fremont County K-9 unit stopped a 2006 Pontiac Grand Prix for fraudulent use of license plates at 12:32 a.m. on Saturday at the 19-mile marker on southbound Interstate 29.
Authorities arrested the driver, 64-year old George Haynes Sr. of Omaha, Nebraska, for Possession of Methamphetamine, Possession of a Schedule II Controlled Substance, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and cited for No Valid Driver’s license. Deputies transported Haynes to the Fremont County Jail and held him on a $2,000 bond.
Deputies arrested a passenger in the vehicle, 61-year old Clinton Morris, of Omaha, Nebraska, on an active warrant out of Nebraska. Deputies transported Morris to the Fremont County Jail and held him without bond, pending extradition.
