(Atlantic) Atlantic Police Chief Dave Erickson says the Salvation Army’s Red Kettle Campaign needs Bell Ringers.
Chief Erickson says ninety percent of the money stays right here in Cass County, and the other ten percent goes to the national fund to help with emergencies nationwide.
“The money generated would go towards disasters, whether it is local or somewhere else,” said Erickson. “The money is also used to help people coming into the community.”
For example; gas vouchers, or someone coming through town with a blown-out tire and needs money to fix it. ”
“We can get them a tire and get them back on the road,” said Erickson. ” This money all goes to a good cause, and it even helps the kids programs if needed.”
