(Griswold) Griswold Schools Superintendent Dave Henrichs says that the district student enrollment is up for the first time in many years.
On Monday, Henrichs reported certified enrollment; the number of students residing in the district, regardless of where they go to school, is up 4.5 students to 456.7. The bed’s count is 406.3, which is the number of students the district serves daily, an increase of 5.3 students. Henrichs says many factors play into the rise.
Henrichs says the increased enrollment in the current legislative funding cycle means an additional $5,000 for the district. Henrichs is hopeful the upward trending enrollment continues heading in the right direction.
