Gene Borkowski, age 90, of rural Irwin, Iowa, passed away on Wednesday, October 6, 2021, at his home.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, October 12 at 2:30 p.m. at the Historic Trinity Church at Manning Heritage Park. Burial will be in the Oak Hill Cemetery near Irwin. Friends may call from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service at the Church on Tuesday, October 12.
Ohde Funeral Home in Manning is in charge of arrangements.
Gene is survived by his wife of 66 years, Bobbie Borkowski of Irwin; children: Kevin Borkowski and wife Connie of Harlan; David Borkowski and wife Pamela of Irwin; Steven Borkowski and wife Holly of Manilla; and Susan Thraen and partner Brian Yoch of Mesa, AZ; 12 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; brother Vernon Borkowski and wife Leota of Coon Rapids, MN; sister Sharon and husband Dean Axland of Ames; son in law Norm Hopkins of Colfax; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
