(Waverly) The Nodaway Valley boys cross country team placed 20th among 24 teams in the orange division at Wartburg’s Steve Johnson/Dan Huston Invitational on Saturday.
Doug Berg placed 10th in 16:37. Malachi Broers ran a time of 18:25 for 56th place. There were 191 runners in the field. Tyler Cooper was 150th, Gavin Shoemaker 154th, Jevin Christensen 160th, Jaxon Christensen 162nd, Ben Piearson 165th, Will Sturdy 172nd, and Jack Jensen 181st.
The Nodaway Valley girls placed 17th out of 20 scoring teams. Jazz Christensen led thd team in 35th. Annika Nelson ran 70th, Erin Ford 83rd, Lilly Day 90th, and Hope Kading 136.
Earlham won the orange division team scoring led by top five individual finishes from Jayden Dickson (4th) and Dominic Braet (5th).
Earlham’s girls were 11th led by a 12th place run out of Olivia Spurling.
