(Mills Co.) A Council Bluffs man was injured in a single-vehicle accident in Mills County on Monday.
The Mills County Sheriff’s Office says at around 9:14 a.m., Alvin Sobbing, 66, was driving a 1997 Dodge Ram, pulling an unloaded trailer, northbound in the right lane of 221st Street, approaching the intersection with Eastman Road. Sobbing lost control of his vehicle due to slick road conditions and ended up in the ditch/embankment of the northwest corner of the intersection. The Ram went over a small tree, resulting in disabling damage being done to the underbody. Sobbing stated that he saw the flashing lights up ahead from another accident and when he touched his brakes he lost control. Sobbing suffered a laceration to the top of his head and was transported to Mercy hospital by Fire Department medics.
On Wednesday, the Mills County Sheriff’s Office arrested Kamerson Riley Myers, 25, of Glenwood, on a warrant for Failure to Appear on the charge of Child Endangerment. Bond was set at $5,000.
