Audubon 63, Fremont-Mills 20
The Wheelers move to 3-0. Gavin Smith ran for 182 yards and five scores on 27 attempts. He added 84 passing yards and a TD on 3/8 completions. Carter Andreasen ran 10 times for 78 yards and a TD. Braden Wessel ran five times for 62 yards and caught two passes for 33. Matthew Beisswenger’s only reception went for a 51 yard score and he retuned a kickoff 75 yards to the house. Evan Alt added a 12 yard rushing score on his lone carry. Smith was in on 14 tackles while Gavin Larsen registered five solo tackles and seven assists. Beisswenger and Andreasen each had an interception.
Riverside 29, Mount Ayr 26
The unbeaten Bulldogs jumped in front 29-6 at the break and hung on for dear life after halftime. Mount Ayr was led by Jaixen Frost with 138 yards rushing and 97 yards passing. He rushed for two scores and passed for one. Riverside QB Austin Kremkoski was 11/20 passing for 244 yards and four TD’s. He rushed for 80 yards on 12 carries. One of Kremkoski’s scoring strikes was an 85 yard hookup with Hayden Hensley who caught two passes for 101 yards. Grady Jeppesen had a 75 yard TD catch. Rhett Bentley ran 23 times for 128 yards and caught four passes for 29 yards. Brody Zimmerman posted 7 solo tackles and 9 assists. JJ Wilson was in on ten stops.
East Mills 71, Griswold 12
The Wolverines went 10/11 passing for 168 yards and five TD’s. Three different players completed a pass. Starter Ethan Meier had 157 of those yards and all five passing scores. Meier also carried 8 times for 98 yards and a TD. They tallied 195 yards rushing. Zach Thornburg had TD carries of 32 and 6 yards. Davis McGrew and Brodyn Wray added rushing scores. McGrew caught two TD’s with Thornburg and Peyton Embree each recording one receiving touchdown. East Mills recovered three fumbles. Ryan Stortenbecker was 5/5 on PAT’s and put 10 of his 11 kickoffs in the end zone for a touchback.
CAM 52, West Harrison 14
Another banner night for Lane Spieker. The senior superstar was 9/10 passing for 147 yards and two TD’s. He gained 200 yards on 23 carries with 5 TD’s. Through three games Spieker is on a blistering pace offensively with 1,005 yards from scrimmage and 19 touchdowns. In the Week 3 win, Ethan Follmann completed 5/8 passes for 22 yards, Joe Kauffman racked up 39 yards on just two carries, and Colby Rich caught five passes for 60 yards. Kauffman also had three catches for 64 yards and two scores along with 5.5 tackles and an interception. CAM forced five turnovers with interceptions by Kauffman, Spiker, and Ethan Follmann along with fumble recoveries by Cade Ticknor and Colton Erickson. Ticknor added a sack. CAM led 20-0 at the end of the first quarter and 52-8 at half.
SW Valley 14, AHSTW 12
Brendan Knapp led the Timberwolves with 105 rushing yards and two TD’s. Cade Myers had 75 yards and Isaac Currin pitched in 45. Kyle Sternberg completed ten passes for 54 yards. Denver Pauley rushed 21 times for 84 yards.
Atlantic 37, Shenandoah 13
Dante Hedrington ran 25 times for 103 yards and a score. Caden Anderson went 5/8 through the air with 135 yards and three TD’s. His main target was Garrett McLaren with three grabs for 86 yards and two scores. Jackson McLaren posted a pick six. Nolan Mount had 127 yards passing for Shenandoah.
