(Adair Co.) The Iowa State Patrol reports two injury accidents in Adair County.
Tammy Brock, 57, of Cleveland, Tennessee, was transported to Iowa Methodist by Stuart Rescue following a two-vehicle accident on 1-80 at mile marker 89 at 12:19 p.m. today (Wednesday). According to the report, Tammy Brock was driving a 2018 Ford transit van and 57-year-old Lee McCleary, of Vernon Arizona, was driving a 2004 Ford E450; both traveling eastbound. Traffic was slowing to accommodate a lane closure near the 91 miler marker. Brock struck the rear of a 2011 Honda CRV which was being towed behind the Ford E450. Both vehicles came to rest in the right lane of I-80 eastbound.
Jeffrey Kempf, 22, of Harrison, Ohio, suffered minor injuries in a single vehicle accident on I-80 at mile marker 91 at 7:30 a.m. today (Wednesday). The Iowa State Patrol says Jeffrey Kempf was driving a 2020 Freightliner Cascadia eastbound when he fell asleep, drove off the road, struck the cable barrier, overturned, and came to rest in the median on the driver’s side.
