(Lake View) A Texas man drowned Sunday at Black Hawk Lake in Lake View.
Lake View Police Chief, Brandon Rinnan, says the call came out at 6:17 p.m. Sunday to the beach at Camp Crescent. According to witness statements, 18-year old Brian Valencia of Willis, Texas, had been swimming in the roped-off beach area when he started to struggle. He went underwater and did not surface.
Lake View Fire and Rescue located Valencia’s body. Sac County Emergency Medical Services transported Valencia to Loring Hospital in Sac City, where he was pronounced dead.
