(Monona County) A Nebraska man died in a crash in Monona County.
The Iowa State Patrol says the accident happened at 2:03 p.m. on Wednesday on Highway 183 north of the Harrison County line. Authorities say 68-year old Stephen Hendricks died in the accident.
According to State Police, a northbound 2009 Harley Davidson Motorcycle driven by Hendricks attempted to pass a northbound 2014 Jeep Cherokee and didn’t realize a 2012 Peterbilt semi driven by 25-year old Derek Henschen of Ute was also attempting to pass. Hendricks motorcycle struck the passenger side of the truck causing the Harley Davidson to lose control. Hendricks was pronounced dead at the scene.
The other drivers were not hurt.
