(Mills County) An Emerson woman suffered injuries in a two-vehicle rollover accident in Mills County.
The Iowa State Patrol says the accident happened at around 1:36 p.m., Monday on Highway 34 and Kidd Road. The injured woman is identified as, 63-year old Connie Sue Bowen, of Emerson.
According to State Police, a 2007 Chevy Avalanche K1500 traveling northbound on Kidd Road and driven by James Belt failed to yield the right-of-way and struck the passenger side of a 2021 Ford Explorer traveling westbound on Highway 34 and driven by Bowen. The Avalanche left the road, rolled, and came to rest in the ditch. The Explorer left the road northwest of the intersection and came to rest in the ditch.
LifeNet transported Bowen to the University of Nebraska Medical Center. James Belt transported himself and Elias Belt from the scene with unknown injuries.
