(Carroll) The Iowa State Patrol, the Carroll County Sheriff’s Office, and the Carroll Police Department are teaming up for a law enforcement project in and around Carroll today.
Iowa State Patrol Trooper and Public Information Officer Shelby McCreedy said Carroll Police Chief Brad Burke noticed an increase in cell phone usage amongst drivers in and around Carroll. Officers will be patrolling for illegal cell phones, amongst other traffic violations. “Officers will focus on speed, seat belt usage, move over violations, in and around the City, and texting and driving within City limits,” explained McCreedy.
Law Enforcement will have a heavy presence around Highway 71 and Highway 30. The Carroll Police Department will have a heavy presence within the Carroll City limits.
