(Fremont Co.) A Chicago, Illinois man was arrested on an active Fremont County, Iowa warrant in connection to a report received on December 11th of a male who killed a dog in the parking lot of a truck stop near Percival, Iowa. Deputies were able to determine the dog’s owner, who reported the dog was taken from her residence without her consent by 36-year-old Roi Washington. Washington is being held in Cook County, Illinois on $2,000 cash/surety bond awaiting extradition back to Iowa.
In other activity, the Sheriff’s Office arrested Joseph Dale Linkenhoker, 39, on January 20th on an active Fremont County warrant. Linkenhoker was arrested for Domestic Abuse Assault Causing Injury or Mental Illness 1st Offense and Child Endangerment. Linkenhoker was released after posting $2,000 cash/surety bond.
