(Greenfield) The Adair County Board of Supervisors elected Steve Shelley as the new Chairman and Matt Wedemeyer as Vice-Chairman at the annual organizational meeting on Monday morning.
Shelley is the District #2 NE Supervisor, and Wedemeyer holds the District 1 NW seat. There is no change in the meeting time and place in 2021. The supervisors will meet on Wednesdays each week at 9:00 a.m. in the Boardroom at the courthouse.
In addition to that, Adair County Sheriff Jeff Vandewater announced Michael Herbert’s hiring as the new Jail Administrator and part-time deputy. Pending the routine screening procedure, Herbert will receive a starting salary of $45,000 per year and 10-days of vacation.
