(Atlantic) On Wednesday, the Atlantic City Council will act on a Mutual Aid agreement for fire protection services with the Cities of Marne and Lewis.
The specific agreement is renewed every five years. The agreement ensures that if either department is in need, the other department will aid with the equipment and personnel.
Atlantic City Administrator John Lund says with the large ethanol plant, acres of rich farmland, and numerous industrial facilities, natural gas pipelines, and underground oil containers, it is in the best interest of Cass County to have various agencies working together.
In other business, a public hearing will be held on the City of Atlantic’s Façade Improvement Project’s status of funding activities.
*CADCO Executive Director Jenn McEntaffer and Atlantic Area Executive Chamber Director Bailey Smith will present a marketing video to the Council entitled “What you see is what you get.”
*Atlantic Park and Rec. Director Bryant Rasmussen will provide a presentation on the 2020 Park Activities.
*Approve the transfer of funds for the second quarter of the Fiscal year 2020-2021.
*Act on an order to approve the First Whitney Bank as the City’s official Bank, and act on the approval of designating the Atlantic News Telegraph as the legal publication for 2021.
The meeting starts at 5:30 p.m. in the City Council Chambers.
