(Corning) The Adams County Sheriff’s Office responded to a single vehicle accident on Highway 34 Sunday. According to the report, 21-year-old Phillip Currin, of Corning, was westbound at the 63 mile marker at 2:40 a.m. when he lost control and rolled into the south ditch. Law enforcement arrived on scene along with the Corning Fire Department. Phillip was found to be impaired and placed under arrest for OWI 1st Offense.
In other activity, 26-year-old Kevin Anthony Harden was arrested early Wednesday morning on a Warrant from Union County for Theft. The arrest came following a traffic stop on Highway 25 at mile marker 25. Harden’s vehicle was stopped for having no front headlight. He was transported to the Adams/Union County line and turned over to the Union County Sheriff’s Office.
Cory L. Sanford, age 39, of Osceola was arrested on Christmas Eve and charged with Driving While Barred and Speeding. Sanford was transported to the Adams County Jail following the stop at Highway 34 and Ginko Avenue.
The Adams County Sheriff’s Office also reports a collision involving a vehicle and a cow. The driver, 19-year-old Ryan Maeder, was not injured and the cow was able to walk off on their own power.
