(Guthrie Co.) Four people were injured in a head-on collision in Guthrie County on November 14th.
The Guthrie County Sheriff’s Office says the accident occurred at the intersection of Highway 4 and Highway 141 at approximately 7:38 a.m. Sara Anderson, 43, of Templeton, was driving a 2014 Ford Explorer eastbound on Highway 141. Codey Savage, 34, of Jefferson, was driving a 2000 Ford Windstar westbound on Highway 141. Sara Anderson and her passengers said they observed Savage drive in their lane. Anderson tried to avoid striking Savage’s vehicle by going into the westbound lane. Anderson said both vehicle switched lanes to avoid one another before striking head-on. Savage said he could not accurately recall how the accident occurred. A witness said they observed Savage drive into the oncoming lane of Anderson’s vehicle.
Charges are pending.
Sara Anderson was transported to Mercy Downtown by Panora EMS. Savage was transported to Mercy Downtown by Life Flight. Sara Ferneding, 43, a passenger in Anderson’s vehicle, was transported to Mercy Downton by EMS Ground. A 13-year-old female passenger in Anderson’s vehicle was transported to the Dallas County Hospital by Dallas County EMS.
