(Atlantic) Atlantic School’s Superintendent Steve Barber released this statement on Wednesday after being notified of positive COVID-19 cases for both staff and students at multiple locations.
“Our partnership with Cass County Public Health is a good one, and as we are made aware of new positive cases, we work collaboratively with them in determining the appropriate response,” said Barber. “Public Health will be in direct communication with individuals who are determined to be in close contact with a positive case. Additionally, the District will be communicating with those individuals who are affected by these positive cases.”
Barber says the District continues to follow the CDC and IDPH guidelines as the spike in cases has occurred in Cass County. He encourages everyone to follow mitigation strategies of social distancing, handwashing, mask usage, disinfecting, and other techniques to help stop the spread.
