(Audubon) A resolution for the reimbursement of Covid-19 expenses has been passed by the Audubon City Council.
City Clerk Joe Foran says about $2,900 can be reimbursed. “We had passed a resolution to become eligible to get repayment of some of the expenses that we had that we did not expect to incur because of Covid.”
The council has passed a 2nd reading and waved a 3rd reading on an ordinance restricting tree planting. They’ve also had discussions with a developer about a Third Avenue housing proposal, “Representatives for the developer were there discussing possible options for placing some rental properties that they wan to build. Discussing what kind of tax incentives the city, for economic development, could provide.”
The Chamber talked with the council about Christmas Garland on lamp posts. Things are deteriorating and they are looking at acquiring more. The council approved a request from the school to close streets for the Homecoming Parade.
