(Council Bluffs) The driver of a motorcycle suffered life-threatening injuries in a motorcycle/truck accident in Council Bluffs.
According to Police, the accident happened on Saturday at 7:41 p.m. at the intersection of S 24th Street and Old Lincoln Highway.
Preliminary investigation revealed that the 2018 GMC Sierra 1500 truck was eastbound on Vets Highway making a left turn onto S. 24th Street. The 2017 Harley Davidson motorcycle was westbound on Vets Highway. The truck turned in front of the motorcycle causing the collision.
The driver of the truck was uninjured. The driver of the motorcycle suffered life-threatening injuries and was transported to a local hospital.
As we are in the early stages of investigation names will not be released at this time. This incident is being investigated by the Council Bluffs Traffic Unit.
