(Montgomery Co.) The Montgomery County Board of Supervisors opened sealed bids for Emergency Watershed Protection Sites 18 and 20 at their meeting Tuesday morning.
EWP Site 18 is located near 150th and F Avenue; EWP Site 20 is located on 140th Street between S Avenue and T Avenue.
Montgomery County Auditor Stephanie Burke said the Supervisors approved the bid pending the Secondary Roads reviewing the sealed bid and making sure everything is okay.
According to the NRCS, the Emergency Watershed Protection (EWP) Program, a federal emergency recovery program, helps local communities recover after a natural disaster strikes. The program offers technical and financial assistance to help local communities relieve imminent threats to life and property caused by floods, fires, windstorms and other natural disasters that impair a watershed.
