(Treynor) The Donald Trump/Mike Pence campaign is hosting a rally in the city of Treynor on Monday, September 14th. Donald Trump Jr. will be the featured speaker.
Treynor City Manager Michael Holton said the City was contacted earlier in the week by individuals from the Trump/Pence campaign who were interested in holding a rally in a smaller town close to the cities of Council Bluffs and Omaha.
“They were looking around and came upon Treynor and of course Treynor has a lot of patriotic things and values and is well rounded with the Legion being able to do a lot of things with the community as well. And, they saw the helicopter that we have as our monument and they just wondered if the Community Center would be the right venue for them. After working with them, we were able to put it together and they will have the rally on Monday, the 14th, at 2:00 p.m. at the Treynor Community Center,” explained Holton.
Holton said no matter where your politics lie, Treynor is honored to host a major campaign rally.
“The main thing I want people to realize is that we’re showcasing the town of Treynor. Keeping the politics aside and that, this is a great event to have to showcase what the community can offer no matter where you lie on the side of politics,” said Holton
