(Pottawattamie Co.) Pottawattamie County Public Health wants to emphasize that COVID-19 is still spreading in Pottawattamie County communities and taking proper precautions remains vital. More than 40% of the people diagnosed with COVID-19 in Pottawattamie County are in the 18-40 age range.

Today, PCPH reports 40 new cases. Two of the individuals are from Carter Lake, one is from Avoca, one from Neola, and 36 are from Council Bluffs. One of these cases is epi-linked and the others were tested between June 7 and June 9.
Coronavirus.iowa.gov shows an additional 310 tests today for a total of 5,434 tests, with 448 being positive. Including epi-linked cases, PCPH reports a total of 492 COVID-19 cases.
As of today, 258 individuals have recovered, 198 are self-isolating, and seven are hospitalized. Based on PCPH contact tracing investigations, 146 cases are the result of community spread.
