(Area) The history books series has just over one week remaining. Today’s spotlight goes to girls tennis where Atlantic has had three singles and seven doubles qualifiers since 1995. Jaime Headlee and Liz Metheny are state singles place winners while Jess Otto and Emily Riggs medaled in doubles. Riggs teamed with Kyle Hansen in 2003 to place 4th in the co-ed doubles tournament. The Trojans also own five Hawkeye Ten Conference Championships. Players and years are listed below. Lindsey Edsen turned in one of the finest girls tennis careers in Audubon history while Megan Kaufman and Abbi Svendsen have been some of Harlan’s leaders. Boys Soccer will be featured on Friday with Girls Soccer and Boys and Girls Track and Field coming up next week.
