(Audubon) The first reading of an ATV Ordinance was approved by the Audubon City Council this week.
Residents had been getting anxious for an ATV policy to move forward according to City Clerk Joe Foran. City officials tried to make it as uniform to the county’s ordinance as possible.
“They decided to go with the original version of the ordinance that tries to mirror what the county has. The first reading passed unanimously and it’ll go to the June meeting for the second reading and we’ll see if they wave the third reading or not.”
The council is also working towards tackling the next phase of their water improvement project. “We are working to get it to go out for bids. The next step is to approve all of the specifications for working on the well houses and the treatment plant itself.”
Elsewhere, JEO was approved as the engineer for plans and specifications on the fairgrounds bridge.
