(Anita) Sammi Jahde finished in the top ten at the girls state golf tournament three times in her career. The CAM standout will continue her career at the next level.
Iowa Western Community College is the landing spot for last year’s state runner-up. Jahde undoubtedly would’ve been among the favorites to win it all had she been given a chance to compete this season. She fills us in on her decision to join the Reivers. “I was really uncertain on what I was going to do and I visited a couple of other colleges and their golf programs, but at Iowa Western I felt like it was my home kind of. I met some of the girls and really like the girls and their coaches.”
Jahde looks back at her abbreviated high school career. “I’m most proud of how I’ve grown throughout the years and my state performance last year was a pretty memorable one for me. I just have a lot of fun playing golf.”
Jahde says playing college golf has been in the plans all along and she’s hoping to continue on at a four year school once her junior college career is complete.
