(Harlan) KS95.7 F.M.’s rebroadcast game this Saturday will be the February 27, 2017, Class 3A Boy’s Substate Final between Atlantic and Glenwood. . The game was played in front of a packed house at a neutral site in Harlan.
This would be the third meeting between the two teams. Atlantic prevailed in both regular season games by the scores of 72-67, and 68-62. The Trojans, 18-5, were riding an eight game winning streak. The Rams, 17-5, added seven straight wins to their resume’
The game featured a star-studded cast. Forward Garrett Franken, averaging almost 24-points per game, post-player Scott Leonard averaging 14.7 points per outing and guard Austin Alexander, averaging nearly 12-points per game led the Trojans offensively. Junior guard Nate Mohr, Andrew Blum, and Nate Stanislav were the headliners for the Rams averaging, 19.7, 16.9, and 15.8 respectively.

Atlantic Head Coach Alan Jenkins said stopping Nate Mohr was going to be a real key for the Trojans.
Atlantic and Glenwood had developed a rivalry in boys’ basketball over the past several years, with most contests going down to the wire.
Coach Jenkins felt that his squad was peaking at the right time of the season.
On the other side of the coin, Glenwood Head Coach Curt Schulte felt his ball club had shown tremendous improvement in two key facets of the game, defense and rebounding.
