397 new positive COVID-19 cases in Iowa, 12 deaths (May 8)

(Des Moines) Today, there are 397 new positive cases of COVID-19 in Iowa, for a total of 11,457 positive cases.

12 additional deaths have been reported, for a statewide total of 243.

70,261 Iowans have been tested.

4,708 Iowans that were diagnosed with COVID-19 have recovered.
