(Oakland) A lot of key pieces are back for the Riverside girls track team this year.
Jared Hoffman, head coach of the Lady Dawgs, says they have a roster of 19 athletes. “I have a good mix from seniors all the way down to freshmen. We return all the girls that were on our 4X1 and 4X2 that made it to state.”
Kelly Clevenger, Izzy Bluml, Gracie Bluml, and Emily Brown made up the impressive 4X100 and 4X200 meter relays. Clevenger also qualified individually in the 200 as a freshman last year. Hoffman adds, “We’ve got a good set of seniors.” Jadyn Achenbach, Gracie Bluml, Ashlynn Amdor, and Abi Peterson are among the seniors.
Hoffman says each class has a good set of girls and he’s excited about the incoming freshmen. He’s tried to keep the team as active and connected as possible.
