(Anita) Sammi Jahde is a three time top ten finisher at the girls state golf tournament. The CAM senior is coming off of a runner-up finish last spring and is set to lead the Cougars this year.
Jahde is an Iowa Western commit and is poised for a big senior season. Coach Joe Wollum says, “I’m really excited for Sammi with all the hard work she’s put into it. I’m excited to get the season started and see what Sammi can do.”
Beyond Jahde there aren’t a lot of returners for the CAM girls this year. The rest of the group includes Mercedes Harris, Maddy Holtz, and Reese Snyder. While practice conditions will likely be far from ideal, it looks like the weather at the beginning of the year will be better than it has been the last couple of years.
The competition in the Rolling Valley Conference could be similar to what it has been in recent years with Exira-EHK and Boyer Valley in the mix, “Boyer Valley always has a good, strong girls teams. Exira-EHK has some talented girls back as well.”
