(Wichita, KS) Evan Hansen won the 4th National Championship of his college wrestling career on Saturday night. The Grand View 197 pounder from Kimballton capped off his senior season with a 15-0 record.
Hansen’s NAIA national tournament included a 5-0 decision, 16-0 tech fall, 16-5 major decision (quarters), 3-2 decision (semis), and he finished it with a pin (finals). In the finals he beat fellow Iowan Isaac Bartel, of Montana State. He’s the 8th athlete in NAIA history to win four national titles.
Grand View won the team championship for the 9th season in a row.
