(Guthrie Center) A Guthrie County woman was given a suspended 25-year prison sentence for giving two minors marijuana.
According to court records, 35-year old Karrie Elizabeth McCrea, of Guthrie Center was found guilty of two class B felonies and was placed on three years of probation for each count, to be served concurrently.
Mcrea was convicted following a June 17th incident in which she gave her stepdaughter and another, minor a marijuana joint and a bong to smoke at a sleepover. A search led to McCrea and her husband 36-year old Jordan Daniel Liggett’s arrest. Liggett was sentenced to probation in September.
McCrea was also ordered to pay $3,500 for legal assistance, court costs, jail fees, and a law enforcement initiative surcharge. Additionally, she was ordered to abide by a no-contact order, and all other charges stemming from the case were dismissed.
