(Harlan) Four people were arrested on drug charges in Harlan.
The Harlan Police Department arrested Joey Lee Ranney, 32, of Harlan, on July 3rd following a call for a disturbance in the 1500 block of 7th Street. Ranney was transported to the Shelby County Jail where he was charged with possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Cody Emmett Lister, 29, and Bryan Joseph Schuemann, 32, both of Harlan, were arrested July 3rd following the execution of a search warrant. Lister was transported to the Shelby County Jail where he was charged with possession of a controlled substance with the intent to deliver, criminal mischief 4th, interference with official acts, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Schuemann was transported to the Shelby County Jail where he was charged with possession of a controlled substance.
Karen Sue Schuemann, 49, of Harlan, was arrested July 7th following a traffic stop. Schuemann was transported to the Shelby County Jail where she was charged with possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Harlan Police also arrested Brent Michael Swisher, 36, of Avoca, following a short foot pursuit that began in the 700 block of Durant Street on July 3rd. Swisher was transported to the Shelby County Jail where he was charged with trespassing and interference with official acts.
John Allen Veydt, 58, of Harlan, was arrested July 6th following a traffic stop. Veydt was transported to the Shelby County Jail where he was charged with driving while suspended and improper rear lamp.
Jolene Rihner, 61, of Harlan, was arrested following a traffic stop July 2nd. Rihner was transported to the Shelby County Jail where she was charged with driving while revoked.
