(Greenfield) The Nodaway Valley School Board discussed the school facilities assessment process with Boyd-Jones construction company earlier this week.
“COVID-19 delayed this process, and we’re trying to get some things in place while we’re still under social distancing with large groups,” explained Schools Superintendent Paul Croghan. “Hopefully, we can get the process progressing again so we can set community meetings back underway and receive some community input.”
Once completed, officials will send the assessment to multiple architectural firms for screening. The plan is to interview the top three or four firms in early October.
The district is looking at significant overhauls at the high school and middle school buildings, and minor improvements to the security protocol at the elementary facility. The project also includes converting the athletic facilities to ADA compliance, and schedule community meetings.
