(Winterset) Authorities released the name of the man found dead at an intersection in Madison County on July 21.
The Madison County Sheriff’s Office received a 9-1-1 call at 3:29 p.m. of an unresponsive man lying in the roadway at the intersection of Macksburg Road and Grandview Lane in rural Madison County. Arriving Deputies found an adult male identified as 39-year old Jonathan Michael Hoffman, of Des Moines, who died from gunshot wounds. Officials pronounced Hoffman deceased at the scene.
Anyone who has information, or was on Macksburg Road between 2:00 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday, July 21, 2020, and saw something, is asked to contact the Madison County Sheriff’s Office at 515-462-3575 (extension 8).
