Griswold 7, Fremont-Mills 5
Brenna Rossell pitched the win striking out six batters and walking three. She gave up three hits and two earned runs in five innings. Karly Millikan got the save pitching the final two innings, striking out two and walking one while giving up two hits and allowing no earned runs. Anna Kelley and Haylee Pennock each hit a double and a single for two RBI’s a piece. Makenna Askeland and Dakota Reynolds each hit two singles. Reynolds drive in two runs. Brenna Rossell, Jenna Reynolds, Lydia Greiman, McKenna Wiechman, and Kacey Danker each hit singles.
Atlantic 2 Harlan 1 (8 innings)
Emily Brouse started the scoring with a solo homer in the bottom of the 2nd inning. Atlantic tied it in the top of the third when Alyssa Derby hit a sac bunt. Olivia Engler doubled and Jada Jensen had an RBI hit in the 8th inning to give Atlantic their first lead at 2-1. Engler slammed the door shut in the bottom of the 8th. Engler struck out ten batters in the circle and was 3/4 at the plate. The Brouse home run was Harlan’s only hit of the game.
CAM 10, Boyer Valley 1
Allison Spieker and Grace Kauffman each had a double and two singles. Taylor Bower also had a multi-hit game. Others with a hit for CAM were Jozie Lett, Marissa Spieker, and Maddy Holtz. Mallory Behnken drew three walks. Helen Riker allowed six hits, three walks, and struck out five.
Mount Ayr 11, Nodaway Valley 1
Mount Ayr scored 9 of their 11 runs over the first two innings. Whitney Lamb came on in relief, giving up three hits and one earned run with no walks and one strikeout over four innings. McKynna Newbury hit a double. Reagan Weinheimer and Lamb each had a single. Corinne Bond reached on an error and scored the team’s only run.
Riverside 9, Missouri Valley 3
Ashlynn Amdor posted two hits, Kenna Ford had a single and a double, and finishing with one single apiece were Madi Baldwin, Izzy Bluml, and Katie Messerschmidt. Ford struck out eight batters. She retired the first seven batters she faced and gave up five hits.
Audubon 7, AHSTW 0
The Wheelers got a shutout from Kali Irlmeier who allowed five hits, one walk, and struck out two. Audubon had two hits each from Jordan Porsch, Sydney Beymer, Katelyn Nielsen, and Hannah Thygesen. Adding one hit apiece were Leah Subbert, Irlmeier, Kylee Hartl, and Mallory Riebhoff. Nielsen drove in three runs and Irlmeier posted two RBI.
