(Anita) CAM improved to 4-3 in softball on Wednesday with their 11-9 win over Glidden-Ralston. The Cougars took a seven run lead into the final frame and had to dig deep to put the Wildcats away.
CAM erased an early 3-1 deficit with a six run 3rd inning. The big frame featured walks from Marissa Spieker, Allison Spieker, Taylor Bower, Mallory Behnken, Maddy McKee, and Reese Snyder. Grace Kauffman cracked an RBI double. Kauffman finished 2/4 in the win. Other hits in the game were from Allison Spieker, Marissa Spieker, and Maddy Holtz.
CAM looks up at undefeated Exira-EHK in the Rolling Valley standings. The (8-0, 6-0) Spartans will pay a visit to the (4-3, 3-1) Cougars next Wednesday in a game that will air on KSOM. West Harrison and Woodbine are the other one loss teams in the conference.
