Joel Klocke allowed just three hits and one walk in five innings. He struck out nine batters along the way. Aiden Alt earned the save with two scoreless relief innings. A Skyler Schultes triple was the only Wheeler hit of the game. Schultes and Gavin Smith each scored one run, in both cases they were hit by a pitch to lead off an inning. Successful bunts by Eric Hermansen and Braden Wessel helped Audubon push home the game winning run. Preston McAlister had two hits and pitched two scoreless innings with four strikeouts. Peyton Clipperton struck out five of the six batters he faced.
