(Red Oak) Montgomery County Auditor Stephanie Burke doesn’t expect the courthouse or county facilities to open until next month. Burke met with department heads on Thursday morning. The courthouse is currently open to the public by appointment only.
Under the current appointment only guidelines, visitors are met at the door, and they must wear a mask or face covering to enter the building and are subject to PPE requirements. A County employee screens the visitor with assessment questions recommended by the Center for Disease Control.
There are five-cases of COVID-19 reported in Montgomery County. Two have recovered.
