(Atlantic) The goal to raise $100,000 to kick in the generous matching grant from the Jim Tyler family and Atlantic Bottling Company to help fund field turf at the Trojan Bowl is complete.
Earlier this year, the Tyler family offered the $100,000 matching fund challenge. In a joint statement today, RaeLyn Barkley of the Atlantic Booster Club and Kipp Harris of the Atlantic Facility Fundraising Committee announced the successful completion of the grant challenge.
Harris and Barkley thank Tyler family and Atlantic Bottling for their continued support of Atlantic and the many community projects that they have supported over the years. Financial reports indicate that $137,050 was raised during the three months, ending March 31, 2020, bringing the total amount raised to $237, 05.00.
