(Des Moines) Iowa Governor Kim Reynolds announced today 349 new positive cases of COVID-19, for a total of 5,868 positive cases.
There are 1,668 new negative cases for a total of 32,282.
2,061 tests were run yesterday and a total of 38,150 Iowans have been tested.
2,021 Iowans that were diagnosed with COVID-19 have recovered, for a recovery rate of 34 percent.
9 additional deaths have been reported, for a total of 127. Today’s deaths are among older and elderly adults.
On a per capita basis, 1 in every 82 Iowans have been tested for COVID-19 and Governor Reynolds said soon we’ll continue to be able to expand our testing to up to 3,000 more Iowans a day once all of the test sites are open and at full capacity.
