(Des Moines) Iowa Governor Kim Reynolds during her daily press conference this morning, reported since the launch of the TestIowa initiative two days ago, over 121,000 Iowans have completed the assessment. The initiative dramatically increases the rate of COVID-19 testing by up to 3,000 additional tests per day.
Reynolds says the initiative will help the state gather critical information from Iowans to help health officials better target the hotspots and fight the virus. Iowans are asked to go to TestIowa.com and fill out the assessment to find out if a person qualifies for testing at a testing site, which by the way are currently full for this weekend.
Reynolds admitted there were some questions regarding the assessment survey.
The Governor says those who qualify will be notified soon on how to schedule an appointment at one of the testing sites.
This is an online assessment only, so residents without access to a computer are asked to contact a family member or a trusted friend with a computer tablet or smartphone to help you.
