(Red Oak) The Montgomery County Board of Supervisors approved the Travel and Return to Work policy and Isolation Guidance and Return to work policy at their meeting Tuesday.
Montgomery County Auditor Stephanie Burke said this guidance is from the Iowa Department of Public Health as well as from Montgomery County Emergency Management and Public Health in response to COVID-19.
“These policies were passed for our County employees; if they leave Iowa, if they go on vacation, if they leave Iowa on an airplane and so forth, and if they are ill then they would follow these procedures to come back to work. Those two policies are in effect until further notice,” said Burke.
The Supervisors also approved the Articles of Agreement for the Region 14 Chief Election Official Consortium Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act of 2014. The counties in the Region include Adair, Adams, Clarke, Decatur, Montgomery, Ringgold, Taylor and Union. Burke said this is just a standard resolution that the counties pass for Iowa Workforce Development.
