(Council Bluffs) One person was cited into court for drug charges following a traffic stop in Pottawattamie County.
According to the Pottawattamie County Sheriff’s Office, Deputy Windham observed a vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed at approximately 8:45 p.m. Friday. While speaking with the driver, the Deputy observed the odor of marijuana. Upon searching the vehicle, several bags of controlled substances along with drug paraphernalia were found. All evidence was collected and 46-year-old Michael Iwan Carter was given multiple traffic and criminal citations before his release from custody. Charges included Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Possession of a Controlled Substance – Methamphetamine 1st Offense, and Possession of a Controlled Substance – Marijuana 1st Offense.
In other activity, Steven James Hallman turned himself in to the Sheriff’s Office on a warrant for Operating While Intoxicated 1st Offense, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Possession of a Controlled Substance – Marijuana 1st Offense.
