(Harlan) Shelby County Auditor Mark Maxwell says containment and mitigation will not take place without cooperation by everyone. Public owned buildings like the Courthouse are definitely a place that gets a large cross-section of the population, which includes many demographics. He states if the business in the courthouse can be accomplished with one person, please limit the number of patrons who are accompanying you.
Shelby County Auditor Mark Maxwell wants to make it clear that no one is barred at this time or discouraged from entering the Courthouse. The Auditor’s office is simply asking for preventing or slowing the possible spread of the disease if it happens in Shelby County.
He asks Shelby County citizens to consider the US Postal Service, email and phone calls to conduct business at the Courthouse when possible.
