(Audubon) During a work session on Monday night the Audubon City Council drafted an ordinance to allow ATV’s within city limits.
The measure will be acted on during the council’s March meeting.
“It’s going to separate out ATV’s and UTV’s from snowmobiles because those are all three in one section. We’ll have the ATV and UTV rules mirror that of the county that way as residents drive into town with them they don’t have to worry about different rules or anything like that.”
That’s City Clerk Joe Foran who says, a resident approached the council about the change in order to remove snow with an ATV plow at his church.
The Council also discussed garbage containers. “One or two council members had issues with the containers staying out after pickup. There was discussion of different ways to encourage residents to bring those in after pickup days.”
The city changed garbage handlers at the beginning of the year.
