Madison County Accident Claims one Life

(Earlham) One person was killed in an accident involving a pickup and a motorcycle in Madison County.

The Iowa State Patrol says the accident happened at 11:19 a.m. on Sunday, at Clark Road and Peru Road. Authorities say 68-year old Kim Gardner Ferry, of Earlham, died in the crash.

A 2019 Chevy Silverado pickup traveling south on Clark Tower Road and driven by 56-year old Ricky Dean Kimmel, of Peru, Iowa, failed to yield and turned east to Peru Road in front of a northbound 1983 BMW motorcycle driven by Ferry The Iowa State Patrol says Kim Gardner Ferry suffered fatal injuries in the crash.

The accident is under investigation.
